The first day of classes was Monday. The MU class is in the morning and there are two different classes offered; one for undergraduate students and one for graduate students. The students have a break in the afternoon and then are all in the same lecture taught by an Irish professor in the afternoon. Yesterday’s Irish class was on the history of the European Union and how Ireland has and continues to play a role within the EU. The class was extremely interesting and a perfect topic to kick off the study abroad classes with!

The students have the afternoons after their classes free. A large group of students and the undergraduate professor ventured to the city center and went on a tour of the Jack Jameson Whiskey factory. The factory is no longer in use but they have recreated the original manufacturing process of how the whiskey was made by the first John Jameson.

After the tour students were able to taste a sample of Ireland's best whiskey in the bar and visit the gift store for unique gifts only found at this location!
